Disney Cruises Information
What happens on
days at sea?
-
When you
spend a day at sea on a Disney ship, you enjoy
fun-filled activities for every member of the family,
fantastic Disney-style entertainment, Character
meet-and-greets, amazing themed restaurants, swimming,
dancing, spa and fitness programs, onboard shopping and
of course recreation and relaxation under the sun!
There's so much
to do on the ship! How will I know what's going on when?
-
It's easy to
keep track of everything that's happening onboard. Each
day, your Personal Navigator is delivered to your
stateroom with a complete listing of all onboard
activities, adventures and entertainment. There are also
special Personal Navigators for each children's age
group and teens, listing activities and entertainment
that are appropriate for each group. Also, Guest
Services (on Deck 3, Midship) will be happy to assist
you with any questions.
Will I get to
see Disney Characters onboard?
-
The beloved
Disney Characters appear in an array of different
settings, including plenty of meet-and-greet and photo
opportunities, along with stage shows and other special
programs especially in kids' areas at Disney's
Oceaneer Club and on Castaway Cay. There is a Character
Breakfast on 7-night cruises, but there are many
opportunities to meet Characters on all cruises.
Can all children
participate in youth activities?
-
Supervised
youth activities are available on the ship from 9:00
a.m. to midnight for children ages 3-12. Children must
be age 3 or older and toilet-trained in order to
participate. Children must be able to interact

established age groupings of 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-12. We
are unable to provide one-on-one care. A child who
becomes disruptive within the group may be excluded from
participation. Parents sign their children (ages 3-12)
in and out of activities and are provided pagers so they
can keep in touch. Events have been designed for teens
as well, ages 13-17. Teens do not need to be signed in
and out by parents. There is no additional charge for
these planned events.
Is it true that
children must be toilet-trained in order to enter the pools?
Is there

-
Group
babysitting is available for children 12 weeks to 3
years old in Flounder's Reef Nursery, located on Deck 5,

advance of embarkation or may sign up their children on

every day. Rates and times are subject to change, and
space is limited.

the whimsical Mickey's Pool is reserved just for kids.
Goofy's Pool and Quiet Cove Pool have a constant depth
of four feet; Mickey's Pool is 24 inches at its deepest
point. All pools are heated when the water temperature
drops below 75 degrees. There are no lifeguards
permanently stationed at the pools, so kids should only
swim with parental supervision.
Are there are
any age requirements for the pools?
-
Mickey's
Pool: The U.S. Public Health Service requires that all
children be toilet-trained before entering shipboard

What's an
assembly drill? Do I have to participate?
-
Everyone
onboard the ship must participate in a compulsory safety
drill before departure to comply with Coast Guard and
international safety regulations. All passengers are
notified and required to attend. Just don the life
jackets in your stateroom and follow the instructions
heard over the ship's loudspeakers. Once the drill is
completed, it's time to set sail!
